You have 3 ground bars in your main panel. Are you meaning isolated ground vs Earthed Ground?

You can't run feeder conductor in a service raceway per NEC 230.7. You have the service conductors and the feeder conductors in the same pipe which clearly is a code violation.

I recently got a similar auto watering timer. They are really awesome! Mine doesn't have an app, and it probably woukd be nice to have one. But I just use mine to water my small watermelon garden. Have you thought about or looked in to doing rain water collection? I guess since you have well water it's not as needed, but it has been pretty awesome learning and setting that up. Glad yall got some rain though! This has been a brutal summer for us here in Oklahoma with very little rain as well

What size generator wire did you use ?

You forgot to tell them to be sure the 100 amp breaker in the generator is on before testing house.

I’ve never installed a whole house generator so I watched your video to see if I was missing anything… Your video was great, excellent speed, no jumping around from clip to clip with edits and you covered a lot of information clearly. Rubber tire melting point is 365 deg. I suggest driving your truck down the road and checking the rear tire temp....I'd guess pretty hot. 180 is warm...but not melting temp...not even close.

Make sure to rinse really good after soaking in salt water !

How many refrigerators and freezers does a family with 12 kids have? Lord, I have 3 refrigerators and two freezers with two little kids plus mom's wine fridge. These units are good for 4-5 days. Of course, if you change your own oil and can adjust valves if warranted you can get them going again for another 4-5 days. I have the portable 17500 Generac but I think I'm going to get a standby probably 26KW or perhaps liquid cooled.

Did you install or hookup a grounding electrode conductor?

Can you run the control wires in the same conduit as the feeders to the generator?

I know this is a year old . I was given a chicken house form like tractor supply carries. It had a rotten top so I made it a A roof. Then the part that was for the laying box slash roost , I put a wood floor . Then I took a piece of linoleum and cut to fit the floor . Put my wood shavings in . Now when I need to clean it out I just gather the chicks and pick up the flooring dump it off wash it let it dry some and return it . Made cleaning out so much easier. Great brooder you built. Be nice to have helpers like you got . Beautiful family .

I had a wire cable on my VW car and it broke. The replacement came from Brazil and was hard to find. I put several on myself and one stuck open and tbe car shot off. i was on a rural road or i would have rear-ended somebody. I was able to stop it. Always a problem: rope cable, Spring. Ugh. Springs break too.

Enjoying watching your install video. I am nowhere near ready to do something like that but I do have my generator sitting here at the house waiting. Question though. You mentioned that you are using sprinkler system wire for the communications wires. I called Generac after reading in the install manual that it specifically states the use of low voltage wires for those is prohibited. I know everyone in Houston seems to be using that same stuff though. I guess maybe if something happened with a control board and if a warranty rep came out and flagged that they could technically avoid the warranty? Any thoughts?
